Atlas Shrugged Ayn Rand’s objectivism is probably the only philosophy I subscribe to. Very capitalist. Very awesome. Happens to be wrapped up in a pretty good story, too, but I wouldn’t say her writing is superb.
The Great Gatsby The great American dream. I know I said the books weren’t in any preferential order, but this is my all-time fave.
The Waves I know I constantly talk about this book. It’s poetry in prose form. My favorite of all Virginia Woolf’s work. She’s my favorite author, by the way.

Health Kick in the Ass

Sick Bookstore, Get Better
As I get older, the less I remember. Two years ago when I went hiking with a friend, she pointed and asked about a tree. Hell if I knew. She scoffed, “Weren’t you a forestry major?” You know what, bee-atch,…
40-Year-Old Tiger
Speaking of art, a beautiful tiger was drawn on a Chemistry lab chalkboard sometime in the 1970s. It stayed there for three decades–untouched with signs scrawled along side the picture, “Save…do not wash.” A few years ago, it was taken…
