Health Kick in the Ass

I decided post-Superbowl, I would try to be healthy. No diet. Diets are for dodos. I simply need to make better decision about what I consume. For background, I cannot go a day without eating chips and cookies. The higher the fat content, the more calories, the better. That’s what makes you full. FAT CONTENT.

It’s 5pm on a Monday. So far today, I’ve had chocolate milk, oatmeal, seaweed crisps from Wholefoods, a massive tuna salad (I begrudgingly passed on loading up on croutons), half a cannister of almonds, and more oatmeal. I am starving!!!

I need to go grocery shopping and buy lots of stinky cheese and crackers. What other options are healthy but still high in fat? I need to figure out quick, otherwise I’m heading back to the vending machine tomorrow.

Nut butter – and you can get way more interesting than peanut butter; I like almond butter a lot myself. Also, hummus is high in protein and in fat.

Also, I’m watching my child munch on snapea crisps right now, and I think they’d do the trick, too… also, they’re delicious – salty goodness. (Can you tell I’m kind of jealous of his dinner? – snapea crisps, cheese, and hot dog – AWESOME.) Anyway, you can get them at Trader Joe’s, not sure where else.
