I did a post below on my favorite movies and have been meaning to do the same with books. Here they are. My top five in no preferential order. Light in August Faulkner was a literary genius, particularly in capturing…
Atlas Shrugged Ayn Rand’s objectivism is probably the only philosophy I subscribe to. Very capitalist. Very awesome. Happens to be wrapped up in a pretty good story, too, but I wouldn’t say her writing is superb.
The Great Gatsby The great American dream. I know I said the books weren’t in any preferential order, but this is my all-time fave.
The Waves I know I constantly talk about this book. It’s poetry in prose form. My favorite of all Virginia Woolf’s work. She’s my favorite author, by the way.
The Bell Jar I believe this is the poet Sylvia Plath’s only novel. A hopeful, semi-autobiographical story about a college girl suffering from depression.

Health Kick in the Ass
I decided post-Superbowl, I would try to be healthy. No diet. Diets are for dodos. I simply need to make better decision about what I consume. For background, I cannot go a day without eating chips and cookies. The higher…
Sick Bookstore, Get Better
As I get older, the less I remember. Two years ago when I went hiking with a friend, she pointed and asked about a tree. Hell if I knew. She scoffed, “Weren’t you a forestry major?” You know what, bee-atch,…
