This past weekend, we headed to Marin County for the Belvedere Community Center’s Bunny Hop and Egg Scramble. I go gaga for egg hunts and have scoured several different ones across the Bay Area. I’ve come to the conclusion that free egg hunts aren’t worth the hassle and the disappointment. The higher the price, the better the egg hunt, the happier the child. This one in Belvedere could be our new favorite.
There were different egg hunts for specific ages, with plenty of eggs that had candy or trinkets. The eggs could be traded in for more prizes. There was a small carnival with games, face painting, a bouncy house and a life-sized Candyland. Plus Franco enjoyed the playground adjacent to the community center.
Belvedere consists of two islands and a lagoon with views overlooking the San Francisco Bay, resulting in astronomical property values. I got on Redfin and gawked at the home prices. Then I got on Airbnb to see if there were any homes for rent. Not sure why I thought I might find something. Millionaires are not renting their homes on Airbnb!
The weather cooperated for the most part, which allowed us to enjoy lunch afterwards in Tiburon.
Marin is such a beautiful area. I’d never been to Belvedere before and love it. Can we all pool our money together and move there?

Totally would join in with you to live there! But seriously looked like a fun place to visit and the egg hunt looked perfect, too 🙂

Very cute. I lived in Marin County for a while and it is nice but I like the East Bay better.

I agree that the East Bay is better. It has more soul!
