I just became active on Instagram! You can find me @catherinegacad. I never thought I’d be an Instagrammer, but I recently had a photography consultation with @spottedsf and she encouraged me to start posting.
Despite my inactivity, I’ve followed my own network plus several others, and thought I’d share 8 of my favorites across categories.
Animals
Profile: Buddy, Boo, & Blue take on the world! We are here to smother all with cuddles and kisses!
This is the famed pomeranian Boo who looks like a miniature teddy bear. Boo has his own instagram account, but I prefer this account which includes his friends.
Art
Profile: A city in the desert. A culture of possibility. A network of dreamers and doers.
Oh my heart, Burning Man! The greatest temporary museum on earth. These pictures make me swoon and reminisce. Some of the best memories ever.
Celebrity
Rashida Jones has always been one of my celebrity crushes.
Design
Profile: Our design philosophy: build a timelessly chic foundation, then accessorize with abandon.
Hands-down, our favorite designer. I like how he appeals to both men and women.
Food
Profile: The place to find your new favorite thing to cook.
Just because I don’t cook, doesn’t mean I don’t like to eat. Get in my belly!
Inspiration

I’ve been a subscriber of the TUT (The Universe Talks) daily email for several years. Great way to start the day.
Politics
Profile: Citizen. My new book, “OBAMA: An Intimate Portrait” now available for pre-order at Amazon, B&N, IndieBound and your local bookstore.
This could be my very favorite Instagram account. Pete Souza was the White House photographer under Barack Obama. He responds to current events by posting parallel photos from Obama’s tenure. After Melania swatted Trump’s hand, Souza posted this one of the Obamas holding hands.
Travel
Profile: Jack Morris. Livin’ on the road – currently in Tahiti.
You can’t beat this guy’s travel photos. Apparently he is rolling in the dough, as he deserves. Better than National Geographic.
