Fall in the Bay Area is the Best Season

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Now that Summer is officially over, it’s time to party! Fall is my favorite time of year in the Bay Area. The weather heats up, tourism is down. Over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported on the 50 Reasons Fall is the Best Season. What about you? Do you love Fall as much as I do?

We had a wonderful weekend filled with good food, wine, music, family, and prayer.

Rock Wall in Alameda is our local winery. The wine is subpar, but the place is so convenient and Franco loves to run around with kids outside. We just watch him do his own thing or try to hang out with the big kids while we drink wine. It doesn’t get better than that!rw4We were blown away by the Family Open House at Freight & Salvage music venue in Berkeley. Musician Asheba engaged kids in favorites like Itsy Bitsy Spider and No More Monkeys. Plus there was a musical instrument petting zoo, art lab, and separate song circle.

Franco was standing below the stage, then wanted to get in on the action so climbed onstage himself. Asheba asked him a question, but Franco (in yellow Cal bear shirt below) was too shy to answer, so another kid was summoned. Pictures don’t do the concert justice so I included a video clip. freight-and-salvage

Happy happy! What happiness did you get into this past weekend?

Aw, looked like a blast. We actually had soccer season start up for us and been pretty busy with that the past two weekends, but hoping to maybe get some apple and pumpkin picking in soon in the weekends to come. Got my fingers crossed now 🙂

I haven’t heard that song in a long time! Love the update of the melody.

It’s unseasonably warm here still – I’m ready for fall! We are enjoying Saturday cross country meets and watching football on Sundays – that’s our weekend schedule for a while!
