If anyone can guess that’s an ultrasound picture of my baby’s face should go into the medical field. I should stick to banking because it completely eludes me.
I am 30 weeks along and have gained 25 pounds. I wish I had baby bump pictures to share, but I’m not photogenic even on a great day, so all the pictures Dean has taken of me look awful. I always look annoyed and uncomfortable, even though I’m upbeat. Baby is fine and growing normally, but the doctor’s office held me hostage yesterday for four hours to do some monitoring. My productivity has been crimped with all the doctors visits, so I’ve pretty much been radio silent. No blogging, no emails, no social activities. Sorry if anyone is expecting a response from me. Now you know, I’m totally preoccupied. I’m mainly focused on baby, health, work, and sorting out our new home. I hope to have some more updates soon.
As for my stolen Honda Civic, it’s still missing. At this point, it’s probably broken up into pieces. Very sad. I loved that car. Oh well…onward and upward.
Hey Mama! Your job is to make a healthy baby and you are doing great. Everything else can wait, right?! My favorite belly pic from my first pregnancy is a shadow! xoxo
thank you emily! yes everything else can wait. healthy happy baby is most important.
Your Honda got stolen? I have that car, and love it so much. I’d be so bummed. They say it’s one of the highest rates for being stolen so I guess I’m not surprise. Soooooo glad that things are progressing well with baby.
cece, apparently there is a universal key going around that will unlock older hondas. but it’s actually been found! will be posting about that soon.
So happy to see an update from you and totally understand about the doctor’s appointments. I literally lived at the doctors for about 15 weeks give or take with my second and being high risk. I will never forget the NST monitoring and even one time being sent to get lunch and come back, because my baby decided to take nap during it. I spent almost a whole day that day back and fiorth on the machine. Just glad to hear you and the baby are doing well. Sending all my good vibes your way and seriously so excited that you are already 30 weeks 🙂
thank you so much janine. the doctor’s visits are mind-boggling, but i know they have my best interests and care in mind. i am actually on modified bed rest…more on that soon!
Sending you prayers. I know you have been busy. Hope that everything continues to go well.
Godspeed.
thank you patrick. can’t wait until this bun is out of the oven! but definitely needs to cook some more.
Been waiting to hear about the baby, glad to hear everything is going good! Was wondering about the car too, that’s a bummer that it still hasn’t been found. Can’t wait to see pics of the new house after all settles down. Glad you’re getting rest in and not overdoing it.
thank you melissa. life is good, but busy! can’t complain.
I guess that I have had way too many ultrasounds- about 100, no joke. I can totally see the face. What a cutie and arms up too!!
diana, i can’t believe you see all of that! you should be a doctor.
You’re growing another human being so it’s okay! 🙂
thanks nina. life’s been good, but busy!
Happy to see an update! Ten more weeks!
Hope you’re getting some nice peace and rest.
thanks tamara. i’m actually on modified bed rest, so yes, lots of rest! i will post another update soon.
I’m so glad everything is going so well!! We’ll be here no matter how much time you take…just keep that baby safe and sound.
yes michelle, bun needs to cook longer in the oven!
When I was pregnant, all I wanted to do was sleep. Growing little humans takes a lot out of you. 🙂 Don’t feel bad at all. glad to hear all is well.
thanks roaen. surprisingly i have a lot of energy, but between work and the new house and the car being stolen and being pregnant…it is taking a lot out of me.
I can’t believe your car was stolen!! If it makes you feel any better, I totally can’t see a face…All that matters is it’s healthy and the doctors know there’s a face! Haha
i know it looks like a blob, right? my car was found! more on that soon.
I’m sure your blogger friends can wait but it’s great to hear an update from you! 🙂 You’re such a supermom to juggle everything at the same time..
hi rea, it is pretty overwhelming: work, pregnancy, new house, stolen car. but life is good!
I never can understand what they’re seeing on those sonograms…but 30 weeks?? You’re getting close!! I’m sorry you never got your car back, that’s a huge bummer!
hi rachel! 31 weeks now and car was found! i need to post another update soon.
Sorry to hear about your car still not being found!! Why did the doctors keep you for so long? Glad you’re both healthy and even if you’re not photogenic as long as you have some photos for two to remember the pregnancy, that’s all that counts. 🙂 Rest up and don’t stress – it’s good to be disconnected sometimes! 🙂 Have a great one Catherine! -Iva
i know this is TMI, but doctors monitoring me because my cervix is measuring short and i tested positive for a diagnostics test that says i’m at higher risk of delivering within the next 1-2 weeks. i’m on modified bed rest and in good hands with all the doctors!
Haha as women no such thing as TMI – at least you’re in very good hands because it’s always a scary situation when you’re pregnant and you’re told anything is “off.” Enjoy your bed rest and hope it all turns out OK Catherine!! 🙂 -Iva
Thanks for checking in, Catherine – I’ve been thinking about you. Happy to hear that all is going well (except for your poor car).
thank you dana! i was actually discussing your blog with a friend of mine this past weekend. she is jewish and i said i had no idea that the jewish faith doesn’t believe in life after death (which i learned from your blog post on cafe mom, i believe). she qualified that reform says they do not know for sure. i know that catholicism is derived from judaism and simply assumed that we all believed in life after death. anyhow…it was an interesting discussion as we are both intrigued by religious beliefs.
Vixen, we talked about you last night at ARTery and all wish you well. Cremepuff is out new VC but will never take your place! Got an idea for a picture – take one of your body and photoshop a picture of your face that you like! Or, get a fullsized picture of someone else’s face and hold it up in front of your face…maybe your husband…that would be cute!
take care and know the whole team is rooting for you.
Lysa/Dazzle!
dazzle! you are always so funny. i love the idea of putting dean’s face on my pregnant body. that’s hilarious. i miss you tons!
So glad to hear you are doing well. I think that anyone who is growing a baby should not have to worry about ANYTHING. Just rest and take careful of yourself. Sorry about your car, such a bummer!
thank you. i feel guilt about not blogging, but baby comes first! i do have to post an update because my car has been found 🙂
There is only ONE good thing I can say about being pregnant … the end result is worth it. Sending good thoughts your way and wishing you a speedy delivery!
i can’t wait for this little bun to arrive, but first he has to cook a little more first!
Awwww, no worries, Catherine. I love an update from you whenever it comes! At this point, I think you’re absolutely right to focus on baby/your health first. Obviously you have a lot of things going on right now and we’ll all be here when you are ready to post more 🙂
Also, I totally LOL’d because whenever I see an ultrasound photo, I can’t ever make the face out either. I thought it was just me and never wanted to burst anyone’s balloon. Glad I’m not the only one.
I’m so sorry about your car 🙁 Bad karma to whoever stole it!
i know, to me, that ultrasound looks like an amorphous blob! and yes, bad karma to whoever stole my car. that said, it’s been found, so i need to post an update soon.
Love the update, but don’t worry about being mia. Your priority is growing that baby! The world will understand 🙂
thank you stephanie! i’m so excited for baby’s arrival, but he has to cook a little more first 🙂
Only 10 weeks to go! I wish you the best and I think you look great in every photo I’ve seen of you!!
thank you britt. i know, it’s now 9 more weeks to go. i can’t believe it. i just can’t wait!
I was thinking about taking some time away from the blog for my euro trip. You’re creating another human being! You definitely deserve some time to unplug!
Baby comes first! LIFE before blogging, right? LOL I’ve been pretty light on blogging, emails, and social media in general. Not on purpose or for any particular reason, it’s just that life is happening and it’s wonderful. 🙂
Thanks for the update! Glad all is going well. Look at that little face!!!!
