It’s prime time here in the city by the Bay.
The America’s Cup is ongoing with New Zealand at match point of 8, but USA refusing to give up with a score of 6. Sorry Kiwis, looks like Oracle Team USA may have the winning momentum. The America’s Cup Finals are broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network, starting at 1:15pm Pacific Time every day. There’s also comprehensive footage on Youtube.
Oracle CEO Larry Ellison is juggling both the America’s Cup and OpenWorld this week. An estimated 60,000 people are in town for this tech conference. And congrats to my hubby who now works for Oracle. He works so hard that recruiters are constantly trying to snag him. It kinda makes my head spin.
The Oakland A’s have clinched the American League West division title and are going to the playoffs. Woot-woot!
Here are some pictures, ironically, of Dean and I on the other coast at the top of the Rockefeller Building. I still need to post pictures of our past trips when I’m not jumping up and down from all the goings-on around here.

Aww, you too look so cute and like you are having an awesome time on the other coast!! So glad your trip to NYC was such a great time!! 🙂
Catherine
i heart nyc. seriously one of the best places in the world.
Michelle
I am so glad you had a great time! My daughter loves going into NYC. We are spoiled…its only about an hour and a half drive to go in.
Catherine
you are lucky! i’ve always dreamed of having a bicoastal job or retiring in nyc.
Dana
Love Top of the Rock – much better than the Empire State Building! Looks like my husband’s not the only one who hams it up in front of the camera 🙂
Catherine
i have never been to the empire state building! i will have to put that on my list, but yes, the rockefeller had incredible views.

Love those pictures! So cute and fun! :)-Ashley
Catherine
thanks ashley, those top of the rock pictures cost $40 or something crazy like that for purchase. my husband just extracted them, which is why they’re so tiny.
Tamara
I love the pictures! Growing up, NYC was always “the city” because we lived close to it and that’s inevitably where we’d find ourselves during every special occasion. Now that I’m farther away, I guess Boston is “the city” but NYC is in my heart! And having lived in SF, well..that’s really my favorite. Don’t tell the east coast. SF is where it’s at.
Catherine
tamara, you’ve had the best of all the cities: sf, nyc, boston. you are one lucky person! and your kids are lucky too because i’m sure you’ll expose them to all that every city has to offer as they get older 🙂 i’ve definitely been to boston, but haven’t spent much time there. i need to go back and really experience it.

Nice pics.
The America’s Cup is pretty cool having been there. What is cool about is that if America wins then the Golden Gate Yacht Club would hold the trophy and the it might be held here again.
I need to get to NYC. I have been all over the world but only to NYC in the airport.
Catherine
we have been so lucky to host the america’s cup. it has been amazing. yes, you need to go to nyc. make sure that’s on your bucket list!
Mo at Mocadeaux
Seeing the America’s Cup in person would definitely be on my bucket list – if I had one. Have you been able to attend any of the race? Looking forward to more great pictures from your east coast trip!
Catherine
very curious to see if we will host the america’s cup again…given that we won it! hopefully so. it’s good for business.
Stevie
Sounds like a fun and busy time in your the bay area. Congrats to your hubby on his new gig. There are so many awesome companies up in your area. Looks like you had great fun on the Top of the Rock.
Catherine
thanks stevie. we’ve been having fun here in the bay and also in nyc. it’s been easier for us to just get up and go so we do consider ourselves lucky. but honestly, i just want to sleep and relax for the next few weeks!!! i want to hibernate until christmas!
