White Smoke = New Pope

I’m giddy with excitement, awaiting the name of the new Pope.

Yes, I’m Catholic so this is a very significant moment for me and the direction of the church and the faith. But even if I weren’t Catholic, I simply love tradition. There’s something so fervently touching about people performing the same rituals over the course of history!

Are you with me? This is not just a Catholic thing. It’s a historical event.

If people can get all excited about a football game or a soccer match, or the finale of the Bachelor, then you can get excited about electing a new Pope. Cmon people!

Can you imagine being at St. Peter’s Square right now? It’s electric. And how many of us have traveled to that very same spot?

Video of the white smoke.

Hi there through SITS! Unfortunately I missed seeing the white smoke yesterday, but RAN to my computer so I could stream coverage of his first blessing. It was definitely a thrilling moment. I can’t wait to see what Pope Francis has in store for us!
