Fashion Friday: Ruby Red Dress

That red dress I wore to my parents’ anniversary—I would never wear that these days. I wore it in 2002 (wow, 10 years ago) to my grad school’s winter formal. It was lying around my parents’ house, to be given away, but my mom spotted it and said it would be perfect for the party since the motive for a 40th anniversary is ruby red—something about the fire of love still being alive after 4 decades. I was too cheap to buy a new red dress and it worked well because the color matched my sister’s dress. Anyhow I see the pictures come through and it feels so odd because it’s just not my style. There’s a super cute vintage dress I picked up in the Mission that I wore the day after the anniversary to lunch with my fam, but no pictures of that. Sigh.
