It took me a while to recover from the blues, but now I’m all better. Peachy.
Reeling from work, I fired my resume off to a handful of opportunities and happy to report that I secured two interviews. Yee-hah, with a resume that works wonders, I got my pride back. It also helps to hang out with friends. People make it better!
I read this today in the Little Black Lenten Book:
“Like every life, my life has its ups and downs. The downs usually come without effort. But that’s not the case with going up the mountains in my life. The ups require effort. It’s easier to coast down a hill than climb up. Sometimes I’m inclined to settle for climbing a small hill now and then, because it takes too long and is too much work to climb a mountain. But I need high mountains that take me to great heights and give me an experience of God that stays with me long after I’ve come down from the mountain. My prayer is to have the stamina, the courage, the creativity to do what it takes to find the mountains and to climb them. It makes all the difference in the world.”
