The problem with working downtown during the holidays is that you get the itch to shop. It’s not even Thanksgiving and already the lights are out, the ice rink is in, and the 99% are doing what they do best—spend money. I decided to take an active part in boosting the economy by pulling out my Capital One 1.5% cash back card a handful of times trekking around the San Francisco and Westfield shopping centers.
First stop: Nordstroms. I don’t go often, but when I do go shoe shopping, I prefer Nordstroms. That way, if ever something goes wrong (i.e., blisters), you take it back for a full refund. I love that about Nordstroms. I picked up a cute brown pair of wedges that look like they came straight out of a vintage store. So me. $80. That’s a little steep, especially for shoes that are coming off the sale rack, but trust me, they’re cute.
Because I’m trying to make a point of starting to wear some makeup, I picked up two sheer lipsticks from Chanel. $32.50 x 2. Yeah, I know, expensive lipstick. My mom would kill me.
I wanted a wool blazer from Zara, but I couldn’t justify $129. Besides, I’m pretty sure everything’s going to go on sale come Turkey day.
The last stop H&M should be everyone’s first stop. Everything’s so cheap and at full price!
Checkout these ballet flats I got for $12.95. Girls size 3. Crazy, right? Plus I picked up a scarf for another $12.95.
