Dating Hot Spots

Ok, I’m no longer in the know when it comes to dating, but I have gone to a couple places in San Francisco that make me want to tell all my single friends: go here on your dates!

Date spot #1: The new Grove in Hayes Valley. This is the 4th of the Grove cafes in the city. Fillmore, Chestnut, and 3rd St./Mission are the other locations. But here’s what’s great about the one in Hayes Valley. It’s got the same menu and same ambiance which has made the others successful. Yet it’s brand spanking new–new wood, new chairs, new art. You know what else gets me going? The bathrooms are sparkling clean and there isn’t just a single toilet like some of the other Groves. There are two separate spacious bathrooms for men and women with several stalls. Allelujah for clean available bathrooms! Another perk is the parking. Plenty of parking at night. It’s my new favorite place.

Date spot #2: Ryoko’s in the Tender Nob. This sushi bar is going off the hook every hour it’s open. They don’t take reservations (which sucks), but the sushi is so good no one seems to have a problem waiting and the servers see to it that you can order drinks while we wait. Avoid Ryoko’s if you’re looking to have dinner on your own, the place is dominated by googly-eyed, twenty-something couples or big groups of friends. I personally think it’s the best sushi in the city so grab your mate or get a group of your friends to go, and check it out. Won’t be disappointed.
