Gap Shoes Under $10

Ballet slippers are all the rage now. I prefer not to follow what the masses do, but when suited up Financial District women are going casual with ballet shoes, I want a piece of that comfortable action. I ordered and tried shoes from Zappos. No fit. I wear a size 5, but half the time I try shoes on, the 5s slip right off–which is why you’ll notice that I wear backless shoes (unless they’re sneakers or boots).

We were at the Ace hardware store in Laurel Heights this past weekend. Next door, Gap Kids was promoting 30% off everything in the store. I went in to look for tights and socks, but came out with these almost fluorescent ballet slippers for girls. Perfect fit and perfect price. $8.42.
