In anticipation of this week’s rain, we went hiking last Saturday at Edgewood Park and Preserve in San Mateo. I simply go on the Bay Area Hiker site and find a hike that looks worth while. I think the site is one of the best resources for discovering the outdoors. You can also ask your friends, but frankly, I don’t know very many people who hike regularly! Pretty sad since the Bay Area is prime territory for getting your hike on. Before I got married, I used to hike alone in the woods regularly. Then I’d make a stop at In-n-Out or Jack-in-the-Box for special post-hike caloric treats. Even without the fast food stop, hiking is fun. Now that it’s spring time, it’s time to get wild on wilderness.
I liked Edgewood. Very easy hike, but also fairly scenic.
Who’s the dork in the glasses? Yeah, that’s me. I was having an issue with my right eye. Went to see the doctor and she said that some of the tissue had degraded so I had to wear my glasses for a week while my eye healed.
