I had the good fortune to spend quality time with one of my Burner friends this weekend. I asked if she wanted to get together for drinks with a group and she said, “No! We need one-on-one time.” I love that! I think we were at Pomelo in Noe Valley for brunch for almost three hours. Hours that flew by as we breezed through life’s most important topics. I really treasure quality time with my friends—so sad it doesn’t happen more often.
Then on Sunday, Dean and I drove to Sonoma and made ourselves comfortable holding the tiniest princess baby. My friend dressed her up in legwarmers just for the occasion. She knew I’d get a kick out of that! Plus, Dean and I never turn down a home-cooked meal—especially when Patsy’s cooking. Always super yummy. We had a really great time eating and laughing.
Here is a picture Dean took of me cuddling baby Chloe. I’m scrunching up because I’m trying to keep her head in place. I was actually nervous holding her. She’s so tiny!
