Every morning, I write in a journal one thing that I’m grateful for. This morning I wrote, “I love my business school friends!”
Last night, friends of ours hosted a fabulous Sunday dinner for six of us who went to school together and our spouses. It was such a good time, I wish I’d brought my camera. Sadly I don’t have any pictures to post.
Except for the hosts who are expecting twins, each of the couples brought their baby for us to hold and play with. One baby was so good sitting on my lap I wanted to kidnap him!
Obviously most of the conversation diverted towards pregnancy and children. Here are snippets from the follow-up emails we traded today.
Hopefully the non-stop baby/pregnancy/parenting conversations weren’t too big of a shock for Dean and Catherine. Dean – I look forward to hearing you comfortably speaking about Catherine’s uterus some day in the future! – Paul
Paul / Nancy, I am glad that you guys took the initiate to organize last night. As always, you were great hosts and we enjoyed the great dinner and drinks. With your twins on the way, and pending Dixen’s proclivity to multiple, we will have to think about renting a banquet hall for next year’s celebration. – Peter
Paul & Nancy, As always, you spoiled us rotten with young rum, old cheese (aged gouda with natural salt crystals) and ritz carlton slippers. I love Peter’s line, “pending Dixen’s proclivity to multiple.” It was great fun ‘Baby Mooning’ with you! A very ‘Face Forward’ and Eye Opening experience. Catherine and I learned so much about uterus stretching, jaundice, and breast milk donors that we immediately retired to the bedroom to refill her birth control prescription – LOL! Just Joking – – Thank you!!! – Dean
