End of the Year Stress

Holidays are supposed to be fun, yet I’m stressed.

Trying to plan our very expensive (there’s no way around it) honeymoon to Italy. I’m sure there are ways around it, but there’s no way I’m staying at a hostel on my honeymoon!

Figuring out last-minute finance decisions for 2010. Maxing out retirement accounts, opening up additional IRAs. Timing my stock sales.

Still continuing to buy presents for kids. I told Dean, “Here’s who’s left. I can’t deal anymore. I already bought over 20 presents.”

Gathering addresses and sending out Christmas letters. We have too many family and friends, I’d go broke sending out actual cards. For those of you who sent electronic greetings, way to go. I’m so envious of you.

I still have to go to the Burning Man office and sign Thank You Cards for all of our volunteers. I am frighteningly close to the deadline and completely freaking out!

Within five days, I need to go to the court house and have someone sign off on my correctable violation (did not have car registration form when I got pulled over for speeding because it had been stolen out of our car). After that, I need to fill out the paperwork to take care of the speeding ticket. I tried to get an extension, but whenever I call the county phone number, it just hangs up on me. Wow, fantastic customer service!

I need a damn good drink tonight.
