Did I tell you I’m bored with San Francisco? After living here my whole life, nothing really piques my interest anymore. So this weekend, I decided we’d get the hell out. I chose Castle Rock State Park which has been voted one of the most scenic hikes in the Bay Area. It took us almost an hour to get there from the city, but it was well worth it. OMIGOD, what natural beauty! We did a manageable 3-hour loop hike traversing the Santa Cruz mountains, steep ascending and descending elevations, and one of the most diverse landscapes I’ve ever encountered while hiking. I pleaded with Dean, “Please can we spend some weekends camping and tenting? Please!”
After the hike, we treated ourselves to Woodside’s famous Alice’s restaurant which started as a general store for the logging industry in the early 1900s. Love, love, love. I think I live in the greatest place on earth.
