Living the Life

39east_RB_SF098It’s what I read in all the bridal magazines.  I thought it would apply to me too. Planning the big event, then it’s all over–the wedding blues.  I have a bit of the blues after a big race.  Kinda like..what’s next?  I figured I’d have the same feelings, but magnified.

Since the wedding, I finished reading the Bathroom by Toussaint who I love.  I practically read it sitting on the toilet.  Dean said, “It’s funny seeing a book called The Bathroom in the bathroom.”  I’m almost done with The Unnamed by Joshua Ferris.  I hate to admit it’s a disappointment compared to Then We Came to the End, his first novel which was a finalist for the National Book Award.  Genius!

Tonight is summer solstice.  Wednesday’s the world cup matchup: USA!  I will be in North Beach sporting the red, white, and blue.  Hells yeah!  Thursday we’re watching Wicked.  Friday I’m chopping my hair off and there’s the 80s prom pub crawl.

Does it get any better than this?
