Just One More Question

39east_RB_SF034I am really on top of things.  I’m not that type of person who does stuff last minute.  I front-load as much as possible.  But even though I’ve done so much already, there were so many last minute wedding details before leaving for Palm Springs.  Eyebrow wax. Laundry.  Trash bags to clean up welcome dinner.  Thank you cards to people who have already sent in gifts.  Finalizing the catering number…which keeps changing by the day.  Presents for the kids in the wedding.  Down to the wire, I was running around town. That’s exactly what I did not want to do.

Brides are right when they say, at some point, they just want it over with. That’s where I am.  I’m really tired of running around and answering questions.  Everyone has questions: the caterer, the photographer, the wedding coordinator.  What about your transportation from the Viceroy hotel to the wedding venue?  We’re taking my piece of shit jalopy Honda Civic.  Have you grouped your family into formal shots?  Wuh?

Then there are the people who need hand-holding–even though you sent them all the information they need to know.  “By what time should we be ready?”  “Can you tell me again what shoes I need to buy?”  “How do I get from the airport to the hotel?”

Enough already.  I’m just going to chill and stop being beholden to all these questions.

Yes! People need to suck it up and figure it out on their own.

    Enjoy already!
