Things Couldn’t Be Better

That was one of the headlines today on People.com.  It’s a quote from Jennifer Aniston. “Things couldn’t be better.  Busy, but it’s great.”

As you all know, I’m a celebrity gossip fanatic.  Every evening, before I leave work, I manage to peruse SFGate’s Daily Dish, The Superficial, and People.  This headline particularly caught my eye.  Jen recently broke up with John Mayer.  What a smart, beautiful, successful, level-headed actress like her was doing with some immature pop star, I do not know.  Desperate, if you ask me.  Bad choices she’s making.  But technically, John Mayer dumped her and made it clear by discussing it publicly in an interview and also blogging about it.  When I blog about people, I make them anonymous and besides that…I’m nobody!  John Mayer is a total turd and I hope no one purchases any of his music on iTunes.
But back to Jen.  You know, I actually liked her.  I think she’s a talented actress and considered her the nice girl next door.  But having her tell the world, “Things couldn’t be better,” makes me think she’s a complete fraud.  Are you serious?  I mean, is that the same thing you were saying before Brad Pitt dumped you for Angelina Jolie?  “We’re doing great.  Things couldn’t be better.”  No wonder your husband left you.  You’re totally fake!
I think about how I’ve been blogging for the past three years.  I have tried to be honest and true to my words and my feelings.  Why?  Because people don’t want to read about how you always have a smile on your face, how everything always seems to work out.  It doesn’t!  God, that should be my tagline.  Catherine ‘Vixen’ Gacad–Because life never seems to work out.  We all have our ups and downs and I’m just here to tell it like it is.
Jen, please.  Stop acting.  You’re annoying me.
