Eggs, Chocolate, and the Easter Bunny

How does the Easter Bunny stay in shape?

Eggercise.
Maybe next year I should buy a full-on, furry Easter Bunny outfit.  Because I love spending the few nights before Easter (when I’m fasting), filling plastic eggs with yummy candy: Twix, Reese’s, Butterfinger, Snickers…all the good stuff.  I always get rather carried away.  I have an abundance of plastic eggs in the top shelf of my storage.  And I’m a firm believer in excess versus shortage when it comes to food, parties, chocolate on Easter.  As Marc says, “My worst nightmare is not having enough food at a dinner party.”  It was just Dominic this Easter Sunday, picking up about thirty eggs.  He is one spoiled kid.
But prior to our own family party, the church had a candy hunt for the kids after mass. Dominic’s too young (remember he’s 2) to really be into the hunt.  He nonchalantly picked up a few pieces.  But there were several kids afterwards who came up to Dominic and offered him some of their candy.  Such nice kids!
