Taking the Lead

I’m in my favorite restaurant.  I had to leave the house.  Here’s a toast–with my favorite glass of wine, Montepulciano–to the first female president.

I just exchanged banter with my best friend Daniel who is at home wearing an Obama sweatshirt, hoping that things don’t go my way.  I left home, knowing that Hillary was taking the lead in California.  All eyes are on California, as they say.
I couldn’t take it anymore…the refreshing of my browser.  My eyes have been glued to a monitor all day long.  I was thankful for tasks to do at work because then it meant I could stop my obsession with the computer screen.
Last year for Lent, I gave up anger.  This year I decided to do much of the same.  Give up negative thoughts, believe I can do anything I want to do–The Secret.  So I’m back to carrying the Secret book everywhere I go.  I’m a firm believer in the philosophy.  You attract what you think.  You can do and be whatever you want.
And Hillary will win.  Because I believe.  She just took California.  And to celebrate, I ordered champagne.
G’night, everyone.  Happy Super Duper Tuesday.  Happy Mardi Gras.  Lent starts in a little over one hour.
