Blurbs from the Past

I am a teensy bit on the hungover side. Not much to ramble about except that Marc got laid off yesterday. If anyone knows of a product manager position, let me know. He’s really bright and always successful when it comes to work. I’m about to lay down for a quick nap before Carey comes in for the weekend. It’s not like me to not have a plan. I have no plan for the weekend. Not a single reservation. Nothing. I was so busy at work, I didn’t have a minute to figure anything out. We’ll have to go with the flow. I hear it’s Dine About Town when a flurry of restaurants have these set menus for lunch and dinner. You can go to One Market, Boulevard, and all the posh restaurants and not have to worry about paying a pretty penny. But I’ve always been a little skeptical about that. They’re probably skimping somewhere and no one who’s been ever really raves about their experience. It’s always ok. I’d rather just spend the money for a nice meal and choose what I want from the menu.

I did make a list, though, of things we can do. Here’s what’s on it:

Restaurants:
Spruce
Quince
Buckeye Roadhouse
Presidio Social Club

Bars / Nightlife:
District
South
El Rio
Cafe Cocomo
Ambassador
Top of the Mark
Bourbon and Branch

Other:
Burke Williams Spa
Berkeley
Parkway Speakeasy

Jen and I went to brunch this morning at Maverick. Delicious! When I went out to fill my meter, I was getting written up for a ticket and begged the meter maid not to issue it. He decided not to, but told me that my car better not be there next time he made his way around. Phew.

And finally…a present I can love for a long time. My college girlfriends got me a Rabbit vibrator for my birthday. But Good Vibrations was sold out last June (apparently it was national masturbation month or something like that). So they got me the Rabbit wine bottle opener as a proxy. Finally got the vibrator today since the store is right around the corner from Maverick. Honestly, I’m scared to use it! It vibrates and makes circles. Hmmm, I’m frightened.
