I’m BACK!!!

Did you guys miss me?

First off, I just want to say that I had the most amazing two-week, whirlwind, all-encompassing trip.

Nicaragua: summer, 90 degrees, kayaking, celebrating Purisima (the feast of the Virgin Mary), hiking, milking cows, gathering eggs, making breakfast!, horseback riding, all organic food, fresh juices, an amazing resort in the middle of a nowhere with bungalows perched atop a hill above the Pacific Ocean. I couldn’t sleep at night the roar of the waves was so loud.

NYC: frigid cold, storms, 30 degrees, lots of friends, lots of shopping (more on that later), Macy’s open 24 hours, lots of great restaurants, the Frick Museum, the MOMA, tour of the NYSE, declaring I’m going to bed early then staying up until 5am, skating in Bryant Park, $$$$$$.

Enjoyed my vacation immensely, but thrilled to be home, going through piles of mail, catching up with my local peeps, sleeping on my Tempurpedic, back to eating Lean Cuisines, reading the gossip columns (Did you hear Pamela Anderson and Rick Solomon are getting divorced?), and tapping away on my laptop.

And lastly, for my first post on my return, some HAPPY HAPPY JOY NEWS!!!

A bun is in the oven!!!

Not mine. Please, people. Therese is pregnant. Dominic will be an older brother come August. And I am the very joyous auntie.
