Almost in the Red

I am grappling with a major cash flow problem. Just paid my property taxes. Several G’s right there. I’m reluctant to liquidate some of my portfolio—all the funds are down from their previous 30% highs. I had $61 in my wallet and $78 in my checking account. I went to Costco and forgot my American Express card at home. They only accept AmEx or cold hard cash/debit card. I tried to buy only the necessary items for my cheesy-themed party (wonder bread, tortillas, guacamole, sour cream, salsa…) and ended up spending $134. I gave the woman $60 in cash, the rest went on my debit card. Luckily, the transaction was approved. I’ve got $1 in my wallet and $5 in my checking account. Thank God for credit cards. I’m so broke!
