Birthmonth

Two weeks without an entry is unacceptable. I’m sorry! I promise tons of pictures just to prove I really did have a good excuse for not writing. I was partying…all over the place on opposite coasts with lots of people. Best birthday ever. Overwhelmingly fun and memorable. I’m never going to forget it.

I mentioned the party here at Swig in San Francisco.

Then I headed to NYC, mainly for a wedding–two friends from business school. I swear these weddings keep getting better and better. That one topped them all. The reception was in a chateau that they rented until the wee hours of the night. We feasted on amazing hors d’oeuvres. I’ve never eaten so well in my life. There was even a caviar bar!

I figured since I was out there, I might as well extend my trip to celebrate my birthday. Day after day of drinking, eating, partying. I must admit, though, I think the highlight of my trip was the Bronx Zoo. Yahoooo for the Gorillas in the Mist exhibit. Check out the photos! We were up close and personal with the furry behemoths.

Back home for one more birthday celebration in wine country. We rented a limo and headed to Sonoma for the best wine tasting schedule I’ve ever experienced. I’m not even going to name the wineries we went to because I don’t want you to know! All I have to say is, IXNAE on APANAE. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out all these years on what is clearly the better wine region. No crowds, better picnic grounds, fantastic wines. Let’s hear it for Sonoma. And the limo? What a luxury to not have to draw straws on who has to drive home. I brought my CD collection and we were rocking out to old school hits: The Go Go’s, New Edition, Air Supply. Came back to continue the dance party at my place.

Five more days to round out my birthmonth…
