I am blessed with loving family, friends, and an extended network of those who have supported me during this tough time. Again, I want to thank everyone who sent their well wishes, took me out for a drink, listened, and prayed. I am so grateful for the people who surround me. I feel very, very lucky.
On the way home from the funeral Monday evening, I didn’t feel well and came down with a fever that night, carrying over until the next morning. I think the stress of the weekend had taken its toll and depressed my immune system. I was emotionally drained and physically sick. I took the day off on Tuesday and rested in bed. The rest of the week was a blur as I furiously responded to emails and returned voicemail messages. All I could think of was getting to the weekend.
My cold is lingering, but nothing that a few deep sniffs of Zicam (my favorite decongestant) can’t cure. It’s expensive, but works well. I think it’s the best decongestant on the market.
I’m trying to get back on track now with the blog after a two week reprieve. Let the writing begin.
