Le Diner a San Francisco

Last Friday we went to the Le Diner a San Francisco event. These all white dinner parties are held world-wide. Pasting in some pictures I found on the web.

I’m not a photographer so no picture I take will do the event justice, but according to the event organizers, the most recent one in San Francisco was the largest pop up dinner event in the country. A ticket scores you the location and a seat at a table. The location is revealed at 3pm the day of the event, at 5pm the event opens up for you to scout out a spot, then at 7pm dinner begins. You are responsible for seats, silver ware, center pieces, lighting, and food (i.e., everything). They suggest prepping as if you’re hosting a real dinner party, meaning you need to have appetizers, a main course, dessert and wine.

The event at the Marina Green would have been fun if it weren’t for the bitter cold weather. Sad considering the night before, we were walking around outside in t-shirts. It was pretty amazing to see how creative people got with their tables. Our table had amazing food that we purchased from Sweet Woodruff and wine from St. Supery. We danced in front of the French band, then got picked up in a town car thanks to Uber. The night ended with Scrabble and more wine back at our house.

SF is a fun place to live! Always something to experience every night of the week.
