In the past two weeks, I’ve gotten text messages from male friends who are in town. No heads up. Simply that they’re in town and can I meet up. These aren’t random friends of mine, these are guys who were both invited to my wedding—one of which who came. So I obviously want to meet up, but can’t flake on a book club that’s been planned months in advance. Nor can I reschedule the World Series.
My girlfriends, however, like myself are much more proactive. As soon as I book a flight anywhere, I tell my friends immediately. Block of your calendar, I’m in town. That way you don’t have to conflict with book club or whatever else is going on in their life because you scheduled it in advance.
Why women don’t rule the world is very perplexing.
