Help on our Honeymoon

17_AtraniSpeaking of stress, if anyone has any thoughts on our Italian honeymoon, please email me recommendations!

Here’s what I’m thinking for an itinerary:

2 nights Florence

5 nights Tuscany

3 nights Amalfi Coast

3 nights Venice

Anyone have thoughts on whether we should spend more time in Florence, less time in Venice, etc.?

Venice is small, I think 2 nights are sufficient, but it is very romantic.

Are you still looking for opinions on Italy? I agree that 3 nights are too many in Venice. I’d recommend using the extra night in Florence or the Amalfi coast. I was in Italy when you are I were still working together so this advice may be way outdated. But one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at was in Positano. And that little town was the highlight of my trip.

Le Agave (http://www.leagavi.it/homeeng.html) at the time was a 4 star hotel but much less expensive than that. It is built into the side of the cliff and I remember my first impression of the place was that that was where I wanted to get married someday. I hope it is still as nice as it was.

Where in Tuscany are you going? Siena’s pretty and I liked Lucca a lot. No Rome? Have you been to Rome?

Tuscany: Greve in Chianti, Siena, and Serre di Rapolano. 2 nights in each spot. Not to Rome…been there, done that.
