G’night

I have to be at work around 4:30am tomorrow so I’ll make this short.

I cracked open one of my most prized wines tonight in celebration of me. That’s right. Me. And I am more than half-way done. I won’t need to take an Ambien!

I couldn’t be happier sitting here, surfing the web, trying to figure out what Carey and I will do this weekend. I want a massage, mani/pedi, good food, good wine, and relaxation. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out a weekend itinerary before she gets here.

In honor of me going to bed early, here are some email pastings for your enjoyment.

Subject: Advice, please
So my date last night went really well. He’s really cute, funny, and very smart. He got his masters in clinical psychology, etc etc. We had drinks at Blondies then went across the street to Bar Tartine for dinner. Conversation flowed really well, and I took him home and kissed goodnight. I paid for dinner (natch), so do I wait for him to email or call me? I would love to hang out with him again this weekend. 🙂

how old is he and did he at least offer to pay? if you paid, do NOT call him. resist and restrain yourself. if it went as well as you say it did, you should be hearing from him today.

yes he offered to pay. i told him that i asked him out so i insisted. he’s 28. and you’re right–he should be emailing me.

if you think about how cool your life is and how much you have going on, you’ll forget about it and in no time he’ll call you. resist and restrain.

How cool my life is? How much I have going on?! What are you talking about? I’m planning on leaving my job and I’m allergic to my house. That’s not cute. He’s not interested in me. Though I thought the date went well, I’ve been totally wrong in the past. I’m sure I won’t be hearing from him.

Maybe it’s time for me to believe in THE SECRET! what is that about again?

ask, believe, receive.

what kind of hippie starry-eyed bs is that?

oh, so I was going through old emails and found one to myself with my 2007 goals. I DID NOT ACHIEVE A SINGLE ONE. I’m going to treat these like my cell phone minutes and roll them over to 2008.
