About Me
Hello, I’m Catherine. I am 50 years old and 5 feet small but live a large life.
Daughter of immigrants from the Philippines, I’m a San Francisco Bay Area native: born in Oakland, raised in Alameda and now raising my 10-year-old son here. He’s my best friend and greatest joy. He keeps me grounded, motivated, and endlessly entertained. He’s already traveled internationally to Mexico, France, Italy, Iceland and Japan. We both run sub-7 minute miles. My PR is 6:30. He does cross country and track, and sails competitively. He’s also smart and gritty—he won’t quit until he solves the problem by himself.
I’m a proud UC Berkeley alum (Go Bears!) and earned my MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I have a lifelong career in banking and tech, and advise startups to success. I also sit on the Board of the Alameda Food Bank. Besides running, I love to sing and dance. I also play the piano badly. I am intense but playful and adventurous. I love the outdoors and travel (27 states, 33 countries).

In my lifetime, I have been blessed with 7 incredible relationships, including a 10-year marriage. My ex-husband and I are good friends and supportive co-parents to our only child.
